Jessica Polis

Jessica is an experienced family lawyer, balancing strategy with empathy in her practice. She is results-oriented, always looking to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients, while tailoring her approach to each individual, their needs and circumstances. Well versed in complex financial issues as well as difficult parenting situations, Jessica is able to assist with all manner of family law related issues. Whether your matter requires represented negotiation, collaborative mediation, or a more aggressive litigation strategy, Jessica has the skills and experience to provide the assistance you require.

Jessica honed her advocacy skills and developed her expertise practising exclusively family law at a prestigious family law firm at the GTA for over a decade. In 2023, Jessica and Stephen Eaton, a friend from law school and fellow family lawyer, opened Lighthouse Family Law LLP. They shared a vision of a compassionate and practical approach to the practice of family law. Jessica and the lawyers at Lighthouse understand that this is often the most difficult and challenging time in their client’s lives and are here to help navigate those difficult waters.

Prior to practicing law, Jessica received her Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction in English and Political Science from the University of Toronto (Innis College) in 2008 and her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. In her spare time you can find her on her yoga mat, hiking with her husband and golden retriever, or exploring her passion for travel. Jessica is fluent in Polish.
